Dad

This portrait was commissioned by a wonderful patron that has been ordering portraits for several years.  It is the other half of a husband and wife set.  I enjoyed painting all of the fine character lines that have accumulated over a lifetime.  I completed this 12x9" pastel portrait during the middle of September.  To order a pastel portrait.

This is a younger version of Harriet.  The portrait of an older Harriet, "Harriet and Boss", are posted below.  She is so exuberant; it was fun to portray her!  The pastel portrait is 14x11" and was finished during the middle of this past August.  To order a pastel portrait.

Jack and Arlene

Jack and Arlene have been friends for many years.  This 9x12" pastel portrait was commissioned in celebration of their 65th wedding anniversay.  Jack has spent so many years maintaining and fixing up their house, that they wanted it included in the portrait.  They affectionately refer to their place as the "sows ear".  I composited several pictures for the reference photo and completed this portrait in the middle of August.  To order a pastel portrait.

Les and Weener

Les recently lost his companion of 12 years.  His wife wanted a portrait of both of them in front of his truck.  I used two photos to composite the portrait, a 12x9" pastel.  This pastel portrait was finished at the first part of August.  To order a pastel portrait.

Portrait of Sarah Elizabeth

Sarah Elizabeth has the most beautiful "peaches and cream" skin with her lovely glowing cheeks.  It was a challenge to pastel her with the back lighting.  She is the little sister of Andrew, the portrait posted down below.  There are some beautiful children in Georgia.  This portrait was completed the last part of July.  To order a pastel portrait.
