This is a brother and sister pastel portrait set. I did "Anna" in 2008. "Sanders" was grown up enough to have his portrait done this past October. They are such cute children; it was fun to paint them. I know their Mother is very proud. To order a pastel portrait.

Faded Morning-glory, 5x7" daily oil painting
This last summer, we had blue morning-glories climbing the railing on our porch. After a few freezes, I noticed how some of them turned purplish pink. I thought that they were so pretty and remarkable that they were still blooming at all, that I got my camera and took some shots. One of those shots became my reference photo for this oil. It is a small oil and is one of the daily oil paintings that I work in between the portraits and the larger pieces. To bid on ebay.

Meditation on Dock, 12x8" acrylic on canvas
Occasionally, I do Yoga and meditation, though not nearly as often as I would like to. This is a visualization that I have had during meditation... sitting on a dock with the sun on my skin and a slight breeze. The water and reflections are very healing images.
The acrylic painting on canvas is wrapped around 3/4" wooden stretchers and stapled in the back. The sides are painted with the same colors, continuing the scene from the front. The back is wired and ready to hang on the wall without a frame. It would fit within a frame also, if that is preferred. To bid on painting at ebay.

Hibiscus in the AM, 7x5" pastel
I have been doing small daily paintings between portraits and larger works. They have either been oils or pastels and I have painted them in a looser style from the detail and accuracy necessary for portraiture. This small landscape is the view from the East of my country home. It was during the morning with a small tree on the horizon. I was very happy at the time and wanted to portray that sense of joy. To bid on this pastel.

Mayfair at Dusk, 20x16" pastel - SOLD
Our yellow labrador recently died this past April. I took many photographs of her and this is one of my favorite shots. It was right at dusk and the sun was filtering through the leaves. Mayfair was investigating all the smells in the earth. There was a quiet hush in this precious moment. I have painted several art works of her since she died. She was such a sweet girl, patient and loving. I'm sure that I will continue painting more pictures of her. To bid on this pastel at ebay.

Yogi
I finished this 24x16" pastel portrait at the beginning of October. This shot is of Yogi (his nickname) on the beach. He loved the ocean so much that his Mom asked me to put this shot of him in the water with waves. She also asked me to remove the shadow across his face. He looks so very pleased and happy! Jack and Arlene
Jack and Arlene have been friends for many years. This 9x12" pastel portrait was commissioned in celebration of their 65th wedding anniversay. Jack has spent so many years maintaining and fixing up their house, that they wanted it included in the portrait. They affectionately refer to their place as the "sows ear". I composited several pictures for the reference photo and completed this portrait in the middle of August. To order a pastel portrait.

Portrait of Sarah Elizabeth
Sarah Elizabeth has the most beautiful "peaches and cream" skin with her lovely glowing cheeks. It was a challenge to pastel her with the back lighting. She is the little sister of Andrew, the portrait posted down below. There are some beautiful children in Georgia. This portrait was completed the last part of July. To order a pastel portrait.
