I have been doing small daily paintings between portraits and larger works. They have either been oils or pastels and I have painted them in a looser style from the detail and accuracy necessary for portraiture. This small landscape is the view from the East of my country home. It was during the morning with a small tree on the horizon. I was very happy at the time and wanted to portray that sense of joy.
